Weekly Coaches Tip – May 15th

“See It”-   Visualize your shot.
“Feel It”-   Practice swing.
“Trust It”- Trust your swing.
“Do It”.  –   Execute

Mental practice is as important as physical practice if we want to become better players. As players, the pre-shot routine needs to become as much a part of our playing the game as the swing itself. To develop this, my suggestion is to go through the pre-shot routine as we practice on the driving range so that we are practicing what we want to transfer to the golf course. I would suggest when you practice, you hit at least 20 balls going through your pre-shot routine before each shot. By doing this mental practice, your pre- shot routine will become part of each golf shot. PRACTICE LIKE YOU WANT TO PLAY.
